Reverend Dr. Lea Alexander, President and Co-Pastor Reverend Dr. Lea Alexander was Ordained as a Minister in 1989 and has served as Board President and Co-pastor of The Universal Church of God and The Institute of Applied Religious Sciences, Inc. since 1997. Dr. Alexander has her Doctorate in Theology with a Major in Religious Sciences. Along with responsibilities of the Church Dr. Alexander also teaches at The Theological Seminary of Southern California, helping metaphysical students achieve their goal of service to humanity within their ministry. She has practiced "hands-on-healing" techniques since the 1970's. She is a Certified Crystal Practitioner, and Reiki Master/Teacher. She holds a certificate for course completion of Hypnotherapy and Healing Touch. As a Reiki Master/Teacher she offers Reiki training, including special Esoteric Anatomy instruction. She studied Japanese Reiki Techniques directly with Frank Arjava Petter, Author of Reiki Fire and The Original Reiki Handbook of Dr. Mikao Usui. Dr. Alexander is a Board Certified and Registered Hypnotherapist, having received her training with American Institute of Hypnotherapy. She has served as a Board Member and Vice President for the local San Fernando Valley Chapter of the American Board of Hypnotherapy. She successfully uses Emotional Freedom Techniques (E.F.T.) with her clients and has an EFT-CC certificate of completion. Dr. Alexander says: "I'm truly excited about EFT and want to share this wonderful energy technique with you. EFT handles a multitude of issues - from fear, phobias, addictive disorders, things that may be blocking you from living your dream. Let's explore the possibilities." She is widely received as a teacher, workshop leader. She has spoken at state hypnotherapy conferences and local chapters where she shares her ability to combine hypnotherapy with energy healing techniques. Her natural ability to communicate with animals has led her to study with acclaimed Author and Animal Communicator, Carol Gurney. Dr. Alexander’s ability to connect with the animal helps pet owners understand what their pet’s thoughts and needs are during illness and what to expect when the inevitable death occurs. Her ability to communicate with the animal is helpful during their time of grief.
